Plan to hire native English-speaking teachers in Thailand

The Office of Basic Education Commission (Obec) will seek a Bt350million budget to hire 300 native English-speaking teachers for its primary and secondary schools to tackle the shortage of English teachers, a senior official said yesterday.

According to the proposal, the native speakers would each get about Bt1 million per year - a salary of Bt83,000 per month - compared to the Bt9,000 per month drawn by Thais teaching English.

TEFL Samui - Accommodation

Cost of accommodation during TEFL Course in Samui starts from 360 USD. The trainees are provided private accommodation with all modern amenities and facilities. The single bedrooms in the bungalows will be provided on a twin sharing basis. The candidates have to pay extra if they choose single occupancy. It is in proximity to the training center as well as the famous Maenam beach of Koh Samui. There is air conditioning, cable TV, fridge, bathtub and other modern amenities in the rooms. In the bigger bungalows the students of the TEFL Thailand Samui Course can enjoy a separate living space and a kitchenette. However, the larger bungalows will depend on its availability. If the students want to book an entire bungalow, they can do so by paying a mere 400 USD extra along with the TEFL Samui course fee.

The accommodation has its own restaurant, which is operational from 8 am to 10 pm. The Samui TEFL Course students can get a both Thai and Western cuisine in the restaurant. We also provide Thai massage and Bike/car rental service to our candidates. As most of our trainees from all around the world stay with us, it makes their time memorable. The accommodation for the candidates in TEFL course of Samui would be booked once they confirm their arrival.
