Plan to hire native English-speaking teachers in Thailand

The Office of Basic Education Commission (Obec) will seek a Bt350million budget to hire 300 native English-speaking teachers for its primary and secondary schools to tackle the shortage of English teachers, a senior official said yesterday.

According to the proposal, the native speakers would each get about Bt1 million per year - a salary of Bt83,000 per month - compared to the Bt9,000 per month drawn by Thais teaching English.

TEFL Chiang Mai - Fees

The TEFL course fee in Chiang Mai for 4 weeks without accommodation will cost you 1400 USD (approx.).

We provide accommodation to all our candidates during the 4 weeks TEFL Course. The price of accommodation starts from 200 USD.

A deposit amount of 400 USD will have to be paid for registering for the course. The remaining amount is payable after you arrive in Chiang Mai for the course before the start date.

You can pay either by credit or debit card using the safe and secured payment link option which we will provide you with after you are selected to participate in the course. You will get a confirmation of the deposit paid within 24 hours of your online payment. You can also go for a bank to bank / wire transfer where after paying you have to email us the scanned copy of the bank transfer receipt on the basis of which we send you the deposit confirmation receipt. In case you choose to transfer the deposit amount using Western Union, you have to send us the 10 digit MTCN number along with your details / scan the receipt and email it to us, so that we can confirm the receipt of your payment within 2-3working days.

You need to book your seat at least 14 days prior to the course commencement date.
